Hi all. My husband and I are planning a cruise with friends. My husband gets motion sick and so we were wondering how stable the ships of today are.
We will be sailing from Port Carnival on Feb. 17th going to porta Plata, St. Thomas, Tortola and Great Strip Cay. Has anyone who gets motion sick done this cruise and how well did you fair

This is such a personal thing and then when you add in the weather of your cruise...there are no guarantees. Personally for example the only time I have an issue is when leaving the East coast of Florida in the Atlantic. Weather can be great but the motion of the ship side to side even if minimal bugs me for the first few hours. Almost every time. Why don't know all my trips off the west coast and throughout the Caribbean in all sorts of weather (some terrible) have been fine.

So the answer to your question is most of the ships of the day have great stability but mother nature is able to defeat just about everything and each persons different in reacting. Of course there are all sorts of tricks and medications.

Thank you. I understand about weather. I cruised once about 30 years ago from NY to Bermuda in late September on a small cruise ship. I could see the water rocking in my glass. It was awful.
