I'm also very skeptical about American-crewed ships. I have no doubt in my mind that Americans can provide the best customer service on the face of the Earth, but I believe that most of the Americans who can provide that level of service can readily get higher-paying jobs with better working conditions than those available aboard cruise ships. As long as there is ready-competition from foreign-flagged ships that are not required to employ Americans, American-crewed ships cannot succeed.
