NCL Sea Questions

Could someone please answer a few questions re: Norwegian Sea

1. It looks like all shore excursions sponsored by NCL in Belize start at the same. Has anyone done the Alta Ha & the Old Belize River? Do you have plenty of time to look around the ruins. Do you have time after this excursion to do something else in Belize? If so what would you suggest?

2. How much are cokes on the ship if you don't buy a soda card? Are they 20 oz. bottles.

3 Was there an ATM on the ship. Was it always working?

4. Are there nightly shows in the theater?

5 Is there entertainment during dinner?

6. If you find a waiter you really like it is easy to get seated in the same area nightly?

7. When in port are there things to do on the ship if you don't go on an excursion?

Thanks..I'm anxious to hear back from someone. The reviews on this board seems to be the most positive I've read.

Pam - we were on the SEA a month ago so I will answer as many questions as I can.

1. We went on the Altun Ha tour (but not with the Old Belize River). It was great, very informative. You got a good view of the city and surrounding country side in the hour-long bus trip. When you get to the ruins you get a lot of information and then plenty of time to walk around and climb to the top of some of the ruins.
You can see a few of the pictures I took at this link:

We had plenty of time to shop around and site-see when we got back to port.

2. I think the cokes were in a can on on tap. What we did was brought our own on the ship. They have no problem with that as long as it's not alcohol.

3. Yes, there was an ATM. I don't know if it was always working or not. You can also go to the casino, buy some chips with your credit card then cash them in (if you don't use them) for money if you need to.

4. Yes, there are nightly shows (2 shows each night).

5. No entertainment during dinner in the dining rooms but there is a band playing on the deck with the buffet.

6. Yes - we had no problem requesting a specific waiter. We usually ate sometime between 5:00 and 6:00. If you went later when there was more of a crowd you might have a problem, unless you don't mind waiting. We never had to wait for dinner and a few times there were 8 of who wanted to sit together.

7. Yes, there is always something to do. There is a movie every day, I think around 1:00 or 2:00. There are trivia games, the spa, etc.

We had a GREAT trip and would do the SEA again if we had the opportunity. I don't have any complaints! If you have any more questions you can e-mail me if you want or post them here, and I will try to help.
