NCL Sky-Alaska

We found a great deal to go to Alaska on the NCL Sky on August 23. The question I have it is Category FF - International Deck. I see that this is on the deck that has very few cabins and is the deck that has alot of the activity, like Kids Corner, The Club, Atrium, Casino. Does anyone know if this would present a problem. Also how is the weather in August? Any help with our decision would be great.

Carole,

I have been on 14 cruises so I consider myself somewhat of an cruise expert. Please do NOT book this category. If you are near a casino there is going to be lots of whoops, and hollering, never mind those folks who have had too much booze. I have not been on the SKY, but we almost booked her when we went on our Panama Canal cruise in 2000. Infact she was with us in Aruba, and going through the locks. Nice ship.

You are going to love Alaska. Wear layered clothing as it does get s very cold around the glaciers. We went in September, and it although it is supposed to be drier then, but the heavens opened up and it poured for hours on end every day.. We still had a fantastic time. BTW, the water is very calm, so no need for that Dramamine.

Paljoeysmom,

Even if the casino is at the other end of the ship, would you still not book this? These rooms are near the Kids Club. What do you think?
