Hello,

Me, hubby and our two kids 12 & 15 will be traveling on our first cruise (yay) later this year. We have booked a penthouse suite deck nine on the sky. Has anyone here ever had a penthouse suite on this ship? I have read many reviews on this ship, some not so great, but we are determined to have a great time. Any advice on excursions? We want to do the Atlantis waterparks, is it true you can rent a room for a day, and if so which hotel, & how much? Really looking forward to this trip, cant wait!!!. Any advice, pics, video or just your side of the story would be appreciated. oh, is it true we cant go on our balcony at night? . Thankyou :)

Ahoy Matey and welcome to Cruise @ddicts. :spyglass:

We were on the Sky a little over a year ago and had a great time. Yes, you can go out on your balcony any time. Wondering where you heard otherwise

Anyhow, here a link to my review which should answer some of your questions. I know you'll enjoy your first cruise.

If you have one of the aft-facing Penthouse Suites, there are no restrictions. If you have one of the two forward-facing Penthouse Suites, you will be asked to keep your curtains drawn at night so that light from the cabin won't be an issue for the officers on the bridge. So, you can go onto the balcony after dark, just keep the curtains closed and don't turn on any lights that are on the balcony. You'll get more instruction on this once you are onboard.

Enjoy the amenities that come with the suite! Breakfast in Cagney's is a great way to begin the day, and your concierge and butler will see to your needs.

Hi,
We did the Atlantis off a cruise a few years back. We booked a room for 4 at Comfort Suites Atlantis (around $170). On arrival in Nassau you can get a cab or ride the water taxi ($6/pp round trip) with a very short walk to Comfort Suites and check in. If it's early, they will give you the wrist band for Atlantis and tell you to come back later to get room key. Atlantis is around $100/pp so this is a good savings for 4 people. You will love Atlantis!!

Spurvis091,

Wow!!! That is a steal!!....I read you have to get there early before all the rooms are sold out, so me and my family will be getting an early start. Lol....Thankyou for the info!!!!
