Me, too. There are are quite a few boards on the Star on Cruise Critics web site. Some have links to pictures. I've been trying with limited success to find pictures of our cabin. We also, just last week, booked a cruise for next year to the Panama Canal - another first for us in multiple ways - first cruise that leaves 15 minutes from our house - first Celebrity cruise, first Panama Canal cruise.

One board on CC someone posted comments that they were worried about the Star being in drydock. Said they called the toll-free line for those cruisers who were canceled because of putting the ship in drydock early. Said he was told they needed a minimum of three weeks in drydock and that the first cruise to Alaska was 6/6 - but they're still selling tickets for the 5/30. Guess we'll see!

This will be my 3rd cruise to Alaska, and I can't wait. I thougth that the STAR was already out of dry-dock. Mmmm....think I'm going to check into this. Fingers crossed here. I have almost 30 cabins full of friends and family going in our group.

Later:
OK, I called NCL and spoke with someone in the Travel Agent's Sales Office. (I have a new agency opening in mid-June.) She is STILL in dry-dock, but is scheduled to come out on time for the May 30th sailing.

Here's to a wonderful cruise!! You are in for a TREAT. Alaska is my favorite destination.
Oh, a personal tip here, be sure to bring a pair of binoculars for EACH person traveling with you. (Borrow from a friend at home if you need to.) It is very difficult, and can be very disappointing if you are trying to share binoculars. By the time you try to point out the bear, eagle, etc., it has often moved.
