Just booked on the Sun for 12/18 sailing! First time on NCL and very excited!
I read "somewhere" that the cabins have small personal coffee makers? Is this true? I will happily leave mine home if they are available. Also, anyone know how teens pay for the video games in the video room? Sail and sign cards/quarters? Do they have table tennis/ping pong? Just trying to give my two teens things to do....
Also, would love ideas on Roatan and Belize - two ports we have never visited.
Thanks in advance!

The Sun is a beautiful ship -- have a great cruise. We went to Alaska in June with our young adult age kids, and they loved it. We were in a BA category balcony, and it did have a coffee maker in the room, along with a small refrigerator. We don't happen to be coffee drinkers, so I didn't use it, but there definitely was one available.

Our kids didn't try the arcade, so I can't help you out with that question. I remember seeing a nice basketball court, and according to my brochure with the deck plan they have a batting cage and golf driving net on the sports deck, along with shuffleboard. I must never had made it to that section of the ship (LOL). For some reason, my memory has failed me about ping pong -- I remember seeing tables on the Sea, but don't remember any on the Sun, but I may have just missed them.

We went to Belize and Roatan on the Sea. Since it was our 1st cruise, we just took shore excursions. On Roatan, we went to Tabyana Beach. Unfortunately, the weather that day was cloudy and windy, so the snorkeling wasn't much fun. We had booked a glass bottom boat ride that was cancelled. Our friends, who have been quite often, love to snorkel here.

In Belize, we went to the ruins at Altun Ha. You may be looking for something more active for your kids, but if they enjoy history they would probably like the ruins.

Though it's been a few years since we cruised the Sun, with 16 cruises under my belt the Sun has been our favorite ship. The balcony cabins have corfee makers. The kids program: we had no young ones anymore, but talked to serveral on the ship with kids from 6 to 17 and all loved the kids activities. Roatan we did our own thing, but our first trip there years ago we did Tabyana Beach: great. We will be there again in a few weeks and are doing Salt and Peppers. Belize was not our favorite place, yet some peo0le love it. Cozumel has too many choices to mention. Have a great cruise an be sure to try the tapa bar:

I do not know about the Sun but we were on the NCL Star and it had a coffeemaker,my husband has to have his coffee and we heard coffee was not that great,so he brought a 1 lb.bag on ship, the so called coffee maker is just a pot to heat water and you add instant coffee to it,so if you are like my husband and hate instant coffee bring your coffee maker,we are on next cruise,I made a lot of hot chocolate but sadly my husband drank ships coffee!
