NCL's Dawn Coffee

I've read a few reviews of the Dawn on the internet and a common complaint was the coffee. Would it be wise to bring a pound of my own onboard and brew it in my room?

That depends upon whether you like Folgers coffeee at home, as that's what NCL stocks in your cabin.

You can bring your own coffee, if you prefer a different brand.

Thanks for the info. I have never considered Folger's as bad. Do all the cabins on the Dawn provide coffee machines? If so, are they like the automatic drips (e.g. Mr Coffee). This is my wife's and my first cruise.

I think the Dawn does have coffee markers, all the NCL ships we have sailed do. In fact we were very disappointed that Princess did not. Yes, the pots are basic 4 cup drip pots with Folgers coffee. For us just to have that first cup in the morning works, I don't care if it is Folgers or what. I am not sold on the ovrerall quality of coffee on any line. Princess was really bad, but NLC isn't much better. You can always strurge and try the java cafe.

They have latter, espresso, cappucino machines onboard & it is free with lunch & dinner. Get a few sample coffees at the store to bring to drink if Folgers doesn't make it for you. At least it is not a SYRUP as many lines have.
