Does anyone know how much of a strain the zipline is on your back? My husband has problems with his back from time to time. The brochure says it is not for people with bad backs/necks. Do you think this is just a precautionery measure or should we use our own judgement?

I would submitt that since the operators advise against it, if you have a bad back/neck, that you heed their advice. They're teling you this for a reason.

I was at Labadee back in October. I didn't do the zip-line but watched several do it.
At the end, there's a bunch of spring like devices on the cable that are supposed to give and soften the sudden slow down. I wanted to do the Zip but after watching, decided I wouldn't as I have back trouble too.
I would advise against it if he has any trouble at all. I'm sure RCCL would want a waiver signed prior to anyone riding the Zip. And as stated, they don't issue the caution for bad backs / necks just for the heck of it .:wave
