Need Explorer Cabin Help

I need help in picking a cabin. We are 3 adults - looking at either a JS (can anyone recommend a great cabin number) or a D1 (9676) connecting to an inside (9681). Has anyone ever stayed in either of these two cabins? Would appreciate any insight since we have never sailed on the Explorer before. Thanks for all help.

Well 9676 and 9681 are all the way in the back of the ship so you might be more prone to rocking and rolling or vibrations. I think a JS is a better option as it probably will be cheaper than 2 cabins for only 3 people. They have more than enough room and just about any JS on deck 9 would be perfect. On deck 10 you would just have to be cautious about the deck chairs scraping on your ceiling from the deck above. Plus with a JS you get priority embarkation and 2 cruise credits. Like I said, I think its worth it... just for the walk in closet... but thats up to you, here are some pictures of a Junior Suite.

Depends on your comfort level and budget, but there are balcony staterooms that sleep 3 and 4. They are smaller than the above pictures, walk space between TV and foot of bed is smaller, no chair by sofa. We have gone several times with four in this type of room. You still have the wide sliding door and balcony.
