He is 14 bless his heart, we spent most of the night at the emergency Vets ( what a joke that was :bbat: )
Long story but the short version is he has very bad pneumonia along with vomiting which is probably caused by the pneumonia. (Rather than aspiration pneumonia caused by him being sick)
He is very weak on his hind legs and along with his hip dysplasia he is having a rough time of it![Frown :( :(](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
He has been at our vets all day being treated and is doing much better. I am taking him back tomorrow to be assessed and he may begin oral treatments rather than IV antibiotics
We are supposed to flying to Florida for a wedding on Wednesday and come back Sunday. He is much better today than yesterday and the vet said they would board him for us if we wanted but they don't have anyone there overnight from about 8pm until 8am so I am unhappy with that idea. Although Morris sleeps most of the time now anyway it shouldn't really bother him, it just bothers us![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
My father in law cares for the 'kids' in our house when we go away and he stays here with them but I don't think it is fair to leave Morris with him if he is so sick and unsteady on his feet. The vet thinks Morris will be ok if he continues to improve as much as he did today. We had to carry him into the vets but he did walk out of the vets and he was going to try and jump in the truck, even though he was wobbly on his hind legs![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
I suppose I will just have to assess it all tomorrow! We have to make sure he feels like eating and that he doesn't vomit if he does eat especially if he is on oral antibiotics.
If I need to I will stay home and Phil will go to the wedding alone or I may fly down on Friday just for the wedding. I'll let you know.
Sorry for rambling on, I just wanted our animal loving group to send him good positive thoughts to help him recover![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
