Just came back from a cruise and took the pontoon jungle ride in Costa Rica. We did not do the excursion from the ship, but hooked up with a private tour guide at the end of the pier. Try to find a guide named Christian - he is terrific. He is a young gentlemen, who just finished college and extremely knowledgable about the island, plants and animals. He gave us a great tour which included the pontoon ride, a train ride, and trip to a banana plantation. The day was very interesting.
