Need some prayers

My DS called and my 87 yo Dad is not doing well. This will probably be the last time I see him. My folks divorced when I was 2 and I reconnected with him when I was 33. It has been a wonderful experience to get to know him and my other sisters, brother and aunts, uncles etc. we are driving to Northern Cal tomorrow. Flying is just outrageous so we will drive up (10 hours) so we can spend a few days. I really don't handle these kinds of trips very well.

So sorry to hear this but the important thing is that after all those yrs you did re-connect & you have made wonderful memories. And you are fortunate to have the opportunity to go visit 1 last time. Stay safe in your travels and may you have a good visit with your father.

Update

Just wanted to thank you all for your prayers. Made the trip up and it was a stressful weekend. Dad ended up overnight in the hospital on Saturday against his wishes. On Sunday the family agreed to just take him home and make him comfortable. The doctor said he would be gone in a very short time. Well, he got home and did a turn around and is doing ok for now.
