NEW CRUISER/Carnival Fascination 2/9 Have ???s

Hello,My husband and I are going on our first cruise on Feb 9 (carnival Fascination from Miami to nassau) If anyone can give me any pointers would greatly appreciate. #1 Heard expensive to park at Port, any other options to park else where?? Is Veranda Deck (V24) a good cabin. took pot luck when booked!? On a 3 night cruise How formal is dinner dress?? What would you do if you had one day in Nassau. Do typical excursions??? Which ones?? We do want to snorkel but not all day or do group activities. More romantic ideas (Honeymoon never had) Is it better to book excursions now or wait until there??? I hear most excursions are very touristy. Any secrets to off the beaten path activities?? are there any waterfalls in Nassau?? LOL Im sorry all my questions are even making me laugh at myself! We have been waiting a long time for first cruise just on a mission to make all the best choices!!! It looks like many of you know more than a travel agent so Hope you dont mind if I share your expertise!! Thank You Niki PS anyone else on 2/9-2/12 Facination to Nassau????

The Fascination is a great ship, most likely even better, because it just recieved a multi-million dollar makeover. I would suggest bringing a nice dress, a tad-bit below the knees for the formal dinner, remember it is a cruise not PROM!Hehe. Taking a look around Nassau may be the best thing, and doing things from there so incase something is boring you didn't waste all your money to do it. There is also a dance club for adults at night, that might be enjoyable.
