I can relate to the surprising the husband. I'm taking my husband on the Caribbean Princess on May 1st sailing as a surprise for his 50th b-day that week. We've only sailed one other time and it was on the Sun Princess in 1997 on a cruise I won. It was awesome and we loved it. I wouldn't even think of trying another ship line. We had a balcony room on the Sun and I splurged and did the same again on this one. Good luck on keeping your surprise. I haven't told as of yet.
