looking at that selection and price, I will be much much better off bringing wine on board and paying the 18 dollar corkage, thanks for the info, now I will need to bring a few extra bottles with me on my cruise.

I like to bring 2 bottles of wines on board .but We always buy a bottle from the ship to drink during supper in the dining room.usually a white wine that is suggested from the wine steward!

HAL has really upped the prices of the wine packages.

As a 4 star Mariner we are looking at buying a 3 bottle package for our next cruise. We would get 50% off. That isn't too bad of a deal that way.

We bought the new $100 Beverage cards on our Ryndam cruises and really loved them.

We were also able to buy a couple of bottles of wine with the card.

The $100 Beverage Card really only costs $90 -- so you save $10.

On our Alaskan Adventurer, last August, our "Gem of a TA" comped us two wine cards. They were excellent. Couls have choice of house wines (which were actually pretty darn good!), without having to buy an entire bottle. Plus, we each could have what we wanted. I loke sweet wines. SunFlower leans more to dry. Plus, I never did go with the red meat - red wine thing ....

And (another plus) you don't have to worry about wasted wine. The unused punches are just as fresh on the next cruise ....

Yes -- you can buy beer with the new Beverage cards -- and the 15% gratuity will be taken off on the card as well.

We drink Grey Goose -- $6.95 each plus 15% gratuity -- all taken off on the card.

If you any any wine cards that you have not completely used up -- they will no longer be honored on future cruises since there are new Beverage Cards.

Will miss the Wine Card as that was a popular item for red. Our comment card will have a request on it to bring it back.

Quick question for U Yonnie ... Can U use Mariner benfits in combo with the coupon books???
Such as since we are 4 Star can we combine the 50% off a wine package with either the 10% coupon for an Admiral Wine Package or a Free Pinnacle dinner with the purchase of a 7 Bottle Package??? I would think probably NOT but figure it was worth asking the question. Thanks for ALL the Info!!!
