No Room Number? Is this bad news?

My husband and I cruise Princess this December. We have been on four previous cruises and have always requested a particular room. This time, we thought...lets try a guarantee.

I've done a web search for this cruise sailing date. All rooms, except suites, are sold out.

We still do not show a room number on our web registration page. Our friends, who booked at the same time/price/guarantee as us, do have an assigned room number.

Is this typical? Is it bad news for us? Should we be concerned?

Wondering if we will be paddling!

I just sent you a Private message, but in general, I would think the later your room assignment, the better the upgrade. I may be wrong, but it's worked in my favor as a surprise more than once.
