No western carribean cruises after april thru sept..

hey everyone,

Does anyone know the reason there are no may-sept sailings on HAL to the western carribean?? i am just curious. I had actually been looking into sailing HAL this summer but their western carribean schedule conflicts with my own...

Holland America does not cruise in the Carribean during the summer months. the ships are on the west coast or in Alaska,
HAL cruises in the fall ,winter and spring in the carribean. Carnival
and Princess cruises does the caribean during the summer months.

Earl is correct that HAL no longer cruises the Caribbean in summer - in addition to Alaska, they also cruise in Europe during the summer months.

After the hurricanes a few years ago and all the messed up schedules, getting people home, paying for hotels -- it cost HAL a BIG bundle to keep everyone happy.


So HAL stopped doing all Caribbean ports in the summer.

The Baltic, Med, Alaska, Canada New England -- those areas HAL does in the summer.

For the last few years HAL has also extended their Alaskan season -- arrive earlier in May and stay later in September.

Same thing with Europe -- go over earlier and come back later.
