Norwegian Cruise Line slow??

We will be leaving June 27 on the Norwegian Star cruising Alaska. We still do not have our tickets in hand. My travel agent advised that she did not receive cruise tickets until Thursday and she is sending them to me. I should receive them tomorrow. I thought I would have these tickets two weeks ago at least. I am not sure if it is NCL's fault or the travel agent. That is a little too close a call for me. Has anyone had this problem? Or is this just a normal thing.

I don't have a clue as to who slowed your tickets down, but we have cruised NCL 6 times and always had our docs within a few weeks after final payment. Sometimes these things do slip by the cracks and waiting for docs is no fun. At least you have them and you will soon be on your way. Happy cruisin,

NMNita

No, I do not have my tickets at this time. I hope they will arrive tomorrow, Monday. We are scheduled to leave Sunday, the 27th.

Did you have airfare purchased through NCL? Or did you book a guarantee cabin? These are two factors that can slow down the docs.

I used a local tour agency. They purchased the airline tickets and said they were very late getting the cruise tickets from NCL.

So -- airline tickets were purchased independently from NCL? And did you book an actual cabin number, or was it to be assigned later on?

Hey Gayle63...I'm on the June 27th sailing as well. We just got our cruise docs last week. Our agent received them a week ago Friday and then got them to all of us within a couple of days.

There's a huge group of us sailing together...over 30...we are meeting at the Star Bar at 2 PM on Monday, if you care to join us, feel free!
