I am. We have 5 sets of people going on the Cruise Critic board. I hope to see you aboard. I will be one of the very few with a child. My daughter is 10. She is the oldest child I know of going at this point. The only other child is a 3 year old.

Looks like me and leilanismom are going to be the only ones on this big cruiseship, I guess there will be plenty of deck chairs and food. and getting off at the port of calls will be a breeze. One thing for sure there wont be a problem picking a partner in the dance club.

Funship Lover, the bad news is the cruise is sold out! I think we will have a full cruise ship. Darn, I was really looking forward to having all the cruise personnel to myself.

Don't forget us--we don't want to "miss the boat"! My husband and I will be joining you. I was so excited to see your post; I've been watching various boards but haven't seen many for this transition cruise. I'll be celebrating on of those "big" birthdays during the cruise, and my husband is so sweet--this is my present! This is our 4th cruise with NCL, but it's been a while, so this is the first time we'll experience freestyle cruising and we are looking forward to it. See you then!

OK so that is 5 people on a sold out ship. psantho and her husband, leilanismom and her daughter and me. Not very many rooms if you ask me. I always thought there was like 1200 rooms.

I have a feeling that the people who are taking this sold out cruise are of a generation where they are not as comfortable using a computer as I am. I wanted to do my homework before getting on this cruise so I would know what to expect. I think the people taking this cruise are mainly of the older generation. At least I will be able to hear some interesting stories!

We are we are! :) I managed to drag my mom with a super special fare. I know it's the last cruise of the season for this ship, and I have had stories that as things wind down for the season in Alaska, shops and people close up to the tourists. :-( Is this true?

I'm only 45 and I intend to really enjoy myself. My mom is 65 but when we get together, we tend to get giggly and have alot of fun together. I have been on 3 other cruises and found that the older folks are wonderful to travel with. My first I fretted I would be bored because the ship was full of Shriner's but let me tell you, they took me under their wings and had great stories to tell.

Sestra, Are you sure you are on the 9/27 cruise? The cruise is from Vancouver, BC to San Francisco, CA stopping in Victoria, BC and Seattle, WA along the way. Since you mention Alaska and on another post you mention that you will be staying at a hotel near the pier in Seattle, I just had to ask if you are on this repositioning cruise.

I'm not going, but I took the NCL Sky in November 1999 for its first Caribbean cruise, and I wanted to say that you are all in for a treat. She's a beautiful ship, with a simple elegance! :)
