Norwegian Star

We are booked on the Alaskan Inland Passage Cruise on the Norwegian Star. I cannot get a clear answer as to what costs extra on the ship. I understand that alcoholic beverages, cokes, bottled water, internet cost extra but what about movies, spa, other entertainment? We would appreciate any pros and cons regarding the Norwegian Star.
Thanks.

The spa treatments would be extra but using the sauna and steam rooms are not. Movies are free. There are a few 'cover charge' restaurants that you can choose to go to. All other restaurants are included in your cruise price. If I think of other charges I'll try to post.

We will be on the Star 6-27, when are you sailing?

We will be on the Star 6-27. This is our first cruise and don't know what to expect. It sounds like you have cruised before. Hope the food is good.

I've never sailed on NCL so that will be all new to me. Also, our first trip to Alaska! My take on any cruise line food really is that I didn't have to cook it so it's superb!!! I've never had a bad meal, some were better than others, but nothing bad. You will get spoiled to having your napkins placed in your lap, and the table being set with every piece of silverware available, and a basket or two or three of rolls every night! LOL It is real hard to come back home and actually have to cook...much less clean it up! Ha!!

In your other post, which I saw before I saw your answer in this one, I mentioned our meeting at the Star Bar at 2 pm on Monday....please come by and join all of us. We would love for you to.

What excursions have you planned?
