Seems like all port excursions/activities are water related. Any suggestions on Southern Caribbean excursions for a non-swimmer other than your basic tour?

MMeeks, Help all of us out by telling us to which ports you'll be cruising and which cruise line. Feel sure, many will be able to offer opinions with this extra information from you. :)

=welcome..to cruise @ddicts..There are lot's of islands that do 4x4r's,scooters , and bus tours of surrounding countryside..ruin's,butterfly farm, old mansion's etc..you do not have to snorkel etc..One of my best tours ever was the Murano Glass factory/Visit to Simon Bolivar( Venezuela's equivalent to Geo. Washington) home in Caracas,Venezuela..so you can pick and choose from excursions and not all involve water sports..If you post ship, time of year sailing and islands though,You will get more comprehensive info,Have fun with your cruise research,Post often and :wave Good luck...;)..Joanne

You don't have to be a swimmer to enjoy the water. The beaches in the Caribbean have very beautiful, warm water that is generally very shallow for quite a distance from shore. I love frollicking in the water at Magen's Bay St Thomas, Trunk Bay Beach St John, Playa Sol Cozumel, Orient Beach St Martin, Blue Lagoon in the Bahamas! Go for it!

Lots of non water things to do. However, I've seen many people who don't know how to swim snorkeling. They give you life vests so you're safe. Enjoy.
