Booking an outside balcony to go in October Eastern Carribean and would like to know:
--Which level is best so you're centrally located and easiest to get to everything
--Are reservations required for any of the shows to guarantee seating
--What for sure whould we not miss to do
--What perks do they offer to Diamond members
Thanks.
Karin,
We were recently on allure, basically the same ship...
My best advice on Cabin location is to try to get close to the aft elevators...
We were in #8676--which was a near perfect location...
Right down the elevator to the main dining room...right up the elevator to the Windjammer...
Walked virtually right out our door into Central Park...two decks below us and straight out to the Boardwalk...
Etc.
Definitely make your reservations for shows early...They are not always necessary, but definitely worth having...otherwise, you will get shut out of some shows...or risk having to come in late and pick from leftover seats...maybe not findiing seats together...
Do a little early planning...We figured out that, withour Early Seating Dining, really only one set of shows worked well for our criteria: We wanted one of the six shows each night of the first six nights...none in the afternoon, none "too" late...mostly around 9:00-9:30...Once we figured out the schedule, it all became obvious--so I jumped in and booked early...the rest was easy...We were still able to get in without reservations to an additional "Headliner" show and an additional Comedy show...But having the reservations just made everything easy...
Really--don't miss any of the entertainment...We thought "Eh" about the Water show before we saw it...turned out to be a great show...
For Diamond members, there is a Diamond Lounge on Deck 6...Free drinks from 5:00 to 8:30...I often went for both a pre-dinner drink AND a post-dinner drink since we ate between 6 and 8...Really nice...Then they had, of course, the typical coupon booklets (not much there but a free photo)...I think they had a special breakfast, but we never went...backstage tour...
Have fun...
