Got back from a western Caribbean cruise. Ocho Rio was our first stop. We booked a tour with Chef & Libby. Chef met us outside the gate at the pier. Took us around to see the real Jamaica. Chef took us anywhere we wanted to go because it was a private tour. We drove through the town near Ocho Rio, up & down the mountain, went to some beautiful beaches. Went to Dunn's River Fall park in the afternoon. Chef waited for us at the park entrance while we enjoy climbing the waterfall. We didn't have to deal with the locals and the merchant's hassles. We saw the real Jamaica, places we wouldn't see on a ship tour. Had a great time.. We paid $100 for the day tour. The price was for our group of 4, not each one. Chef's van can fit up to 6 passengers and charge the same price for 1-6 people. It's even cheaper for the half day tour with Chef & Libby. That's great value comparing to the ship tour. We spent time taking to Chef and his wife Libby and learned a lot about Jamaica. I highly recommend Chef & Libby as your guide for Ocho Rio either for a few hours or for the day.
