My suggestion: Find others on the ship that have not taken excursions with the ship....get a group of 8-10 people....and get your own tour taxi. First - have them take you to the Martha Brae River trip...its about an hour drive...an hour and a half trip down the river...and 45 mins back....on the way back, have them take you to Dunns River Falls at a time after the cruise groups have gone because then the guides at Dunns will give you a private tour for your group...as opposed to going up the long chain of people from the cruise tour. Trust me on this...This will save you a lot of money and you'll see the island in a more personal way...
