Odd size/shape cabins on Millinium Class

On a guarantee, we've been assigned to cabin 6000 on the Constellation. According to the deck plans, this is an odd shaped cabin on the bow of the ship facing the helipad.

Does anyone know about this cabin?

Will we be able to see the water, or just the bow of the ship? Pictures of the ship show the window sills to be very deep due to the rake of the outside wall.

Is the layout of the room strange? Is it larger than other rooms in this category? Will we like the room, or should we ask for another?

Thanks,

I personally have not been in this cabin but an acquaintance did during our inaugural cruise. It was able to accommodate 3 adults very comfortably. We had a helicopter medical evacuation at sea which my friend was able to witness firsthand from their window overlooking the Helipad. Thus, you certainly will be able to look out to sea. Draw back is this cabin is in the bow and motion may be more noticeable. She only had one experience when we had a very bad storm at sea. She came to our cabin #6242 and visited for awhile until the choppy stormy seas calmed down. You will have much more space from the other same category cabins. Going down to the dining room or off ship or to the theater were very convenient from this forward location.
Bon Voyage

Dear Nanatravel,

Thanks for the encouraging words!

There's only two of us, so this sounds roomy. The shape of the room makes it look as though it might be cramped. Evidently not the case.

Ocean motion is NOT a problem. We enjoy a little rocking.

So far it looks like the only drawback is the long hike to the aft dining room.

Thanks again.

I wonder how bad the ocean motion on the bow is...I am also in the #2001 (Continental, 1st floor) on Millenium, and I am not the kind of person who likes sea motion :(

The Millennium is a very stable ship. However if sea swells rock the ship, you feel it more at the ends than you do in the middle. The pivot point is in the middle where you wouldn't feel much. But the bow and stern will sense the most up-and-down motion.
Again, these are huge huge ships, so there would have to be some pretty serious rough seas to make it unbearable.

If you are particularly sensitive, you may want to get reassigned.
