OH NO Apple Juice too!

Last night watching Lou Dobbs on CNN, he was saying that most all of the 100% apple juice sold here in the USA, is made in China. One exception is a company called Martinelli's. The USA won't allow china to ship their apples here because of the contaminates in the soil and used to spray on their crops.

I was suprised to find that my MOtts apple juice comes from China.

I've heard about this, and it's a concern, because a lot of products come from China and there's no indication anywhere on the label. I guess they can keep that fact hidden. They only need to say where it is shipped from, I guess??

My neighbor is a Vet assistant, and she said a lot of pet foods and treats ares still made in China, but not stated on the labels. But if you go online for the company, you can find it's origin there.

When were went on our last cruise from Port of Los Angeles, we were amazed at all the shipping containers coming and going to China. Thousands of them, and they were loading 24 hours a day!

Even furniture now...China sends a container loaded with furniture. The furniture stores buy the container sight unseen, not know what is inside. They get them for dirt-cheap. Then they sell the stuff in the top line furniture stores marked up 3-4 times. There is no pride in workmanship anymore. Sad

I was amazed to learn that China has the worlds largest apple growers. They pay their workers $2.00 an hour to pick them. American apple growers complain of devastating losses. Very sad!

Well now that you mention it I happen to be drinking Minute Maid Apple Juice as we speak and upon closer inspection it says right on the label Contains Apple Juice Concentrate from the USA, Argentina, Austria, Chile, China, Germany, and Turkey. That's quite a diverse apple I'm drinking!

I am sticking with Purina pet food. It is made right here in St Louis. No imports, at least that is what their web site says.
