Remember the song Oh what a night?
Oh, what a night.
Late December back in '63.
What a very special time for me,
'Cause I remember what a night.
Oh, what a night.
You know, I didn't even know her name,
But I was never gonna be the same.
What a lady. What a night.
Oh, I. I got a funny feeling when she walked
In the room and I,
As I recall it ended much too soon.
Oh, what a night,
Hypnotizing, mesmerizing me.
She was everything I dreamed she'd be.
Sweet surrender, what a night!
Oh, what a night.
Why'd it take so long to see the light?
Seemed so wrong, but now it seems so right.
What a lady, what a night!
Well here is my version depicting our evening last night. :grin
Oh what a night,
Later September it seemed to be
What a very crazy night for me
I'd like to just forget about this night..
Oh what a night,
You know I didn't even know it's name
The storms here they are just not the same
What a storm without a name and what a night!
I was on the phone speaking to a friend
I heard the wind, a crash and poof all went dim,
I screamed at first and then remembered the wind,
Oh what a night..
Oh what a night, now where is that lantern Mike would say
Let me light a candle to find my way
I can't find the batteries where did they go?
Oh what a night.
The plants are hanging from the limbs of trees,
The lawn furniture is now in the street,
Something is blowing against the window pane
Oh what a night.
Come on Excel Energy where are you?
I can't walk around carrying this dog all night through
The wind is howling and the city has light
But darkness upon us it's just not right
Oh what a night......
The bed is made by candle light
No computer, no TV no sounds to hear
crashing as things bounce against the house
Oh what a night.
We go to bed the wind it doesn't end
I can't see anything least the clock
I've stubbed my toe trying to make that bathroom stop
Oh what a night.
I hug my doggie and sleep with him
then suddenly at 3 I hear the noise
The TV, the fridge the lights come on in unison
I get up foggy and try to remember why this is,
Oh what a night.
I can't wait for daylight so I can see outside,
Right now all I hear swwwwwwwssssssshing winds
furniture, trash and creaking tree limbs
It is cold and dark the winds are strong...
Oh what a night......
I think I've totally lost my mind
Thank God I have my computer again So I sit and read
the coffee pot it works again
so I sing my rhyme
Oh what a night!
