One of those unbelievable stories

My DD woke me around 4 this morning (she lives at home with us) to ask me if she could take a friend of hers in labor to the hospital. She really wasn't asking, at almost 22 she was telling me she was going to take her friend but she is a good kid and still wants my "blessing". Anyway, the father was finally able to arrive but since my DD had helped her friend thru so much of the labor they asked her if she would stay so she did. My DD got to witness one of life's miracles and watch the birth of the beautiful little girl. Of course my DD was ecstatic and on a high today from witnessing this amazing miracle.

Tonight I was recapping the days events with my sister and a while after ending our call my sister called back. Her DD does private, in home health care and was caring for a woman who passed away this evening while in my niece's care.

How ironic that one of our daughters helped bring a life into this world today and another helped a life cross over tonight.

God works in mysterious ways. Both of these women, who are about 20 years apart, did a wonderful thing in their own way today.

Just like the saying you are only 6 people away from knowing someone - well I have heard for every life that comes in - one goes out.

The circle of life, each has a beginning and an end. Joy and sadness. If we are lucky, we share it.

it is so true, thanks Reggae.. for another jolt to remind me of why I do what I do.. the hard, slog days do have an upside, and thankfully I get a kick in the arse every once in a while with an extra hug/love from my "families".. or a "good discharge" we got some one *better*, and they moved on..life certainly is a cycle of ups, and downs, and the peaks sure do make up for the valleys!!..=hugs..:)..Joanne
