Can anybody tell me how to get to it at the Carnival site? I don't see a link to it anywhere. It's probably too early for me to use it, but I'd like to see what info is needed.

I talked to Carnival about that, it will be available after Dec, so it might be too early.

Hello! At least I am not the only one. It happened the same to me. I will be on the Carnival Destiny on January 4 to 11, 2004, and went to Carnival.com to look for the online pre-registration just like you did. I found the link at Carnival.com news page.
It's, http://www.carnival.com/mycruise/ and when you reach the link you press the "fun pass" icon. But when I did it, I was redirected to a blank page saying that the page was unavailable. Maybe they're confronting problems with the online registration and eliminated the link. I will keep trying to see if this problem is just for sometime and they put the link up again. If anybody knows something please, post it here!

Thanks

Thanks. I found it and completed my funpass. From what I understand at other message boards, there are so many people trying to do it today, that the system is having a hard time keeping up. So, it may be hit and miss for the first few days.

For those (for whatever reason) wanting to know how to get there from Carnival's front page (instead of typing the url in directly), click on "guest services". From there, look about half-way down the left side of the page, and click on "embarkation services." That will take you to a page, and you can click on the link for the funpass on the right-hand side of that page.

Boo hoo, it won't let me register, my cruise is too soon. I guess that is a good thing, but I wanted to try it anyway.

I'm supposed to be cruising 12/17 on the Spirit, but couldn't get the system to take my pre-registration today. After a couple of hours I finally called Carnival e-mail support at 1-800-845-2599. They said they were having systems problems with the direct link to Homeland Security. The second person I talked to, agreed to fax me the necessary paper work & I faxed it back to them. Good luck to everyone trying to complete this little "exercise". I think you'll need it!

Just got off the phone with Carnival's technical desk, asked what the issue was - it seems they have not yet provisioned the link for compatibility with all browsers and service providers. It will probably take them another 24 hours to get it done. But it will be completed soon. The techies are good and they have to get the site up and running for all to access asap.

The Carnival Cruise online pre-registration link is working. I just made mine. So if you have been trying to do it, try it again! I think this time you should make it.

if you are Canadian, when you get to the documentation page, check the passport box EVEN THOUGH IT SAYS IN BIG RED LETTERS FOR US CITIZENS ONLY...this will get you to the next page wherein you can register your passport where it talks about americans and canadians together. The fellow at Carnival told me " oh, we consider you folks americans" Hello??? this is one Canadian who is proud to be one...please don't just group me in with other North americans like that!!. ( and if you must make that presumptuous assumption, please tell me so on the internet page!!)

Muffin,

Sorry you are being lumped with us. Everyone should be able to be proud of his own country & identity. This online pre-registration really has me doing a "slow burn".

Couldn't figure out the "US citizens only' thing and finally did...the Americans have always considered Canada like the 51st state....it's all about "manifest destiny".

I have always liked the American attitude - lived there for 10 years - love working with Americans. It is nice to have our own identity, though, and one day, when we grow up to be a "big" country, we might! :) LOL.

OK, am I the only pregistration dumby? Is this something new? Our first cruisse was last April out of Miami. WIll this save us time when we get to New Orleans to leave April 4th? I'm booking with Carnival. Does this pre-stuff allow us to move to the front of the line? What say you? How early did they let you preregister? What part of registration can be preregistered. With the mess you guys been running into I'm trying to deside if it will be worth the hassle. Thanks Pat
