I'm trying to do online registration and I have some questions.
On the Post Cruise Travel Information, what is:
1) Flight Class;
2) Fare Basis/Ticket Designation?
Can anyone help? I cannot, for the life of me figure this out!!!

flight class is usually a single letter like y or w if you are travelling economy. Fare basis, just type in non refundable..... These items are on your ticket somewhere, but can be hard to locate. They do supply examples on the site of both e-mail and actual tickets, but they may or may not look look yours!!

Thanks for the help Muffin. I don't have the actual tickets yet, but have the receipt. maybe I can find it on there somewhere.
Thanks!

They must only be on the actual tickets. They don't show up on the e-mail receipt. We had to fill that part in last time between flights.

I did our registration tonight and for some reason Carnival shows that it is incomplete. I can't for the life of me figure out why. It's not like this is the first time I've done the embarkation forms online - we've done it with no problem for both RCCL and Princess. I e-mailed Carnival to see if I've messed up something even though I can't imagine what. Will be interesting to see what the response is.

I plugged in "economy" for the flight class and used the "Fare TYPE" (not basis) that showed on our e-ticket. I suppose one of those could be messing things up but I don't understand why. As far as I know this information isn't part of the Homeland Security Act is it? From the site it looked like this was more in case Carnival's ship arrived late into port.

Raven,
Carnival's new system is full of a thousand "bugs". I only successfully completed my pre-registration yesterday after trying since 11/25. The "secret" to my success was checking the "car" box before I filled in flight info. They want to know how you're leaving the pier in addition to any flight info. If you call Carnival e-mail support at 1-800-845-2599 perhaps they can help you. I had called 5 or 6 times previously before anyone gave me this pertinent information. I also had an e-ticket & couldn't find the fare designator & they told me to type in "NA" as in non applicable. They said this was not important, but something had to be typed in that field. Go figure that one out........if it's not important, why should the field be required??????????

tiadeerin,
I didn't spot your post until just now, but in the meantime I did get it to work. I spotted someone on another message board mentioning that ALL the flight "legs" needed to be filled in even if it was the same flight over and over. I did that and the registration was accepted. LIke you said......"full of a thousand bugs".

This will be my first time on Carnival, after cruising on Princess, NCL, RCCL and Costa. I hope this isn't a bad omen! lol

Thanks everyone! The tips helped! Amazing that we finally got it done...considering how difficult it was. I sure hope it makes getting on the ship easier!!!
Woohoo! Soon, soon.

Well folks I hate to ask this and sound so stupid, but I went to the Carnival site and kept looking for the online registration and where is it. I must be over looking it or do you have to login in to the site first.

We would be needed to do this for a good long while yet, but I was just going to look it over.

Thanks
