Only 3 days left and need HELP

OK all you people who are full of knowledge on the island of Barbados: We are in search of a beautiful beach with gorgeous atmospheric surroundings (west coast) that offers beverages and water sports; snorkeling definately. We are not going to the Boatyard until later on for the party atmosphere and would it be risky to just ask a taxi
driver? Hope some of you have suggestions. Thanx
