Love Celebrity - we will be sailing on the Zenith in January.

So, what do you think:? Good or bad:? I know she is an older ship but......We have also sailed on the Regal Princess which is an older ship and I loved her........

I find the food and service on Celebrity can't be beat. Just got off the Jewel of the Seas - beautiful ship, just 2 years old BUT, it wasn't Celebrity. The staff wasn't as friendly, service wasn't as good and the food was ok but not up to Celebrity standards.

If you have sailed on the Zenith I would like to her your comments and brief review of the ship.

Thanks,

Marion :wave

Marion,

On Zenith you will find the same food, service, and attention to detail that are
features on the newer Celebirty ships. She is well maintained and you will probably never think of her as being "older" during your cruise. What stands out for me, though, is that she is tiny by more modern standards and due to her
smaller size, she lacks a lot of things common on the larger ships in the fleet. There is very little shopping on board (and thankfully no art auctions); the dining room is a single story; there are neither balconies nor a specialty restaurant; and there is really only one night club / bar to speak of.

On the other hand, the ship and its crew have a much more intimate feel than her
much larger sister ships.

Will you cruise be negatively effected by the things absent on Zenith? Mine never have been.

Good luck.

Thanks Ted.

No, I don't think I will miss the speciality restaurant or the lack of bars/clubs on the ship. I don't need anything at the shops and only walk through the shops to do something on sea days! Won't miss the balcony because we book inside cabins - I am never in my cabin! I have NEVER been to an art auction, won't be missing that either.....

All and all, I am looking forward to sailing on the Zenith and look forward to the more intimate cruising experience.

Thanks :wave Marion
