Last year when we visited the beach, we took a cab from the center of town and paid $9.00 each. It was definitely the way to do it. The driver was great, and he was eager to point everything out along the way. He asked us if we would like to be picked up at the end of the day, so we agreed. Sure enough, he was waiting there and got us back to the pier in plenty of time. Even if he had not returned, there were plenty of cabs and you don't have to share.
We are so looking forward to going back to Orient Bay again in October. Don't forget to bring the sunscreen.... wink wink, nudge nudge...
