Our fence just blew down in the storm!

Six feet tall, runs probably 120+ feet. First I noticed the gate was open.. then I realized the fence looked a little wobbly. DH checked it out, the fence was leaning, and the open gate was holding it up. He propped it up, and latched the gate. Didn't last long!

The blurry parts are because I shot through a window. You can see the fire lane behind our house. Won't be able to fix this for a while, certainly not in the rain, and not until the ground isn't soggy... sigh...

Terrible, Glo...

I was watching the news this morning, and they were talking about the bad storms in your area.

All that rain and snow, and possibly 10 FEET of snow in Lake Tahoe??? Unbelievable!! Anyone driving up there now, has to be crazy!

You take care, Glo, and I hope this passes by real soon.

Should be gone by WEDNESDAY!!! It's calm now. Freaky. Birds are coming out, making noise, but it's just a lull... Wish there was someplace I could take the dog for a quick dry romp. Kind of like a Canine Chucky Cheese!

Hope your insurance co is as good as ours. With the winds several months ago it looked like an elephant ran straight through 7 back yards. Our insurance treated both fences and the roof as 1 incident and it was $800 deductible. Sometime soon the fences will be completely replaced. The neighbor to the left of us didn't fare so well, their insurance co deductible was $2000 for each fence.
Another neighbor let it slip that the fence was 30 years old, I think they lost out there. Our ins. co didn't ask and we didn't tell.

Whoops! Look on the bright side, you don't have to shovel it! Seriously do be careful of flooding and stay safe.

DH went out and looked at the fence... the winds sheered off the 4x4" support. Just sheered it. Amazing.
