Our last Boy crossed the Rainbow Bridge

Now that I’m somewhat composed I wanted to share my sad news. Our last Pomeranian, Meeko crossed the Rainbow Bridge last night. I never shared the news about his litter brother, Echo passing last March we didn’t want to break up the family so we took them both. Now they can play together once again. And now they will meed their half brother Gizmo that passed about 12 years ago. They are all sadly missed. They all are irreplaceable and we will have to think very hard about a new Pom. It never gets easy to losing a good friend and a special family member.

AND THIS IS GIZMO their half brother:
Gizmo passed about 12 years ago but while I was very ill and in need of a transplant he never left my side. I think he knew how sick I was and we became very close. All my dogs are family but Gizmo was and still is very special.

Kevin - my sincerest condolences. Many of us @ddicts know the utter heartbreak of losing a pet, so we understand what you are going through.

Your note/this thread will probably be moved to "Safe Harbor", but please know that my prayers are with you in this sad time.

Oh Kevin, I am so sorry to read of your losses. They were all beautiful furbabies. Meeko looked a lot like my April who has been gone 6 years now. Gosh, I can't believe it's been that long. I know what you mean about a very special one. Though I've adored and loved all my furkids a few have stood out. It's been a year and the whole in my heart left by Buck is still a tad sore.....

How heart wrenching this must be for you. SunFlower and I have been fur baby partners all our lives. Can't imagine not having our beautiful partners around. Our deepest prayers for your family at this terrible time.

My heart goes out to you. I have lost pets and I know the heartbreak. I have a 16-yr. old white cat named Miko and an 8-yr. old golden retriever named Shammy. They are very important members of our family. Your furbaby will now be with his family and playing like a pup. There are really no words to comfort us at this time, but time does soften the blow. They will be in your heart forever.

I am so very sorry for your loss. It is always so very difficult to say goodbye to our fur babies. They fill our life with so much joy and love, and the lifetime they share with us just never seems long enough. How lucky all three guys were to share their lives with you, and how lucky you were to enjoy their love and devotion.

So sorry you're having to deal with this! I lost my Smokey five years ago and I still lose my composure when I think of him. Losing furry family members is never easy.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Your poms were so beautiful.

When my mother's sister was alive they always had 2 poms -- like you -- they didn't have the heart to break up the litters.

I was so sad to read of your loss. I too know the pain of losing your best friend and companion. I lost my Gizmo (he was a Shih Tzu) Dec. 20, 2008. He was 16 years old and not a day goes by that I don't think about him. I still have Taz, and I love him dearly, but he can never replace Gizmo's place in my heart. Please accept my condolences. They were all such beautiful dogs.

Here's a picture of Gizmo that was taken a little less than 2 weeks before he went over Rainbow Bridge:

And here is a pic of Taz, who is still with me:

My heart breaks for you because I know the pain you feel. Just know that all 3 of your babies are running and playing in the wonderful fields surrounding Rainbow Bridge and someday you will be reunited with them again.

Kevin, you and your family will be in my prayers and I hope that as the days go by, the pain lessens but the memories remain strong.
