It has been a very long 7 plus years and you have been here for most of them. Your support and love have been more helpful than you could ever know. I value the friendships and am very thankful for all whom we have shared this journey with. Dan and I are holding up ok but we will NEVER be the same. This is a child like no other I have known and we are sad that he was not allowed to be one. At the end, before the last hospitaliaztion, he was sad and tired and realized how much he had lost over the years. He was ready to be set free. I love my son and will forever and ever. He will be creameted and I am bringing him home with me to be here for the rest of our lives. I know that he is really in heaven but you all know what I mean. Once again, thanks for your support during these years. You will never be forgotten in our lives. We love you all.

Forever Remembered
I’m Free

Don’t grieve for me, for now
I’m free. I’m following the path God has laid,
you see. I took His hand when I heard Him call.
I turned my back and left it all.
~~~
I could not stay another day. To laugh, to love,
to work or play. Tasks left undone must
stay that way. I found that peace
at the close of the day.
~~~
If my parting has left a void, then fill it with
remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh,
a kiss. Oh yes, these things I too will miss.
~~~
Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you
the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been
full, I savored much. Good friends, good times,
a loved one’s touch.
~~~
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief. Don’t
lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your
hearts, and peace to thee!
~~~
God wanted me now – He set me free!
Elliott touched all our lives, in his too short life. He will be mourned by the C@ community and remembered in so many ways for a very long time.
As I said in another post, the bravery and courage with which Elliott fought his fight is an inspiration to us all. May he rest in peace.
His pain has ended but yours continues. I pray that God will comfort you during this very sad time.
You shared Elliott's up and downs with us, and for that we thank you. My hope is that God will bring an inner peace to the family knowing that Elliott is now sitting among God's children and knowing you will see him again one day. May he rest in peace and soar high with the angels.
When I Must Leave You
When I must leave you for a little while,
Please do not grieve and shed wild tears
And hug your sorrow to you through the years,
But start out bravely with a smile;
And for my sake and in my name
Live on and do all things the same,
Feed not your loneliness on empty days,
But fill each waking hour in useful ways,
Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer
And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near;
And never, never be afraid to die,
For I am waiting for you in the sky!
