Can anyone tell me which hotel Carnival uses in Orlando for guests that require an overnight before sailing.

Since Carnival doesn't really deal with the hotels, check the Internet for hotels in the Orlando and Cape Canaveral areas, but keep in mind that Port Canaveral is about a 45 minute ride from the Orlando Airport. I'm staying at the Radisson Resort at the Port in Cape Canaveral (a half mile from the port) for one night before my October Glory cruise. Got a very good deal on the Florida Hotels website. Plus, it has shuttle service to the port for guests. I've read good and bad reviews of this hotel but I take all of these posts with a grain of salt and then go with my instincts.

You can check the HOTELS link here at the top of your screen for some very good hotel deals in either area.

We sailed on the Pride last May and spent Friday night in a suite at the Radisson. It was very nice. I heard some rumbligs that the regular rooms weren't that great. We're taking the Glory to the eastern Carib next May and will book a hotel again. Don't know which one yet. There are many nice ones in Cocoa Beach. It just makes life much easier.

Something else to consider: The Radison has an Avis rental office on sight so we rented a minivan at the airport and drove to the Radison. This allowed us to use the van the whole day and evening. We also used it on Saturday to take our luggage to the ship. We dropped the ladies and the luggage off, took the van back to the Radison and got the Avis shuttle back to the ship. Coming home we had a van rented. The guys got a taxi at the ship to the Radison. Total with a very good tip was $15.00. Picked up the van and went back to the ship to pick up the ladies and luggage. Radison to the ship is about 15 minutes tops. The we took off for Orlando. Again you have the van at your disposal. I'm not really a mini-van guy but it worked out very well for two couples and ALL that luggage. Feel free to email me if you need further info.
