Our weather was all of the above including the rain. That was cooling but only for a while. You could get everything but most of all its warm and sunny. It's pretty well a full day in the canal depending on what nmber your ship pulls for the day...late or mid morning and it will be ddark for sure when you get out the other side.Our experience with Puntarenas was tht they could not land there and we docked in Puerto Caldera. There is even less there I think. But great deals on the shed on the dock. We found/walked to a great beach but no shade so we didn't last long. There was NOONE there.Been there twice and have yet to take a tour. People enjoyed them but said that they were very long bus rides.
