We found the beach next door to be more enjoyable (Playa San Francisco). They had hair braiding and massages at a better rate and they also offered parasailing. I had a massage there that beat the one on the cruise ship!
We didn't have a pleasant experience at Paradise Beach - we had rude waitstaff that wouldn't seem to go away. Glad to have a nice alternative just down the coastline. Also, they will be instituting a user fee if you don't buy food/drink from the restaurant at Paradise Beach starting very soon.
However, I have seen many people on here have a great experience while at Paradise Beach, so it really just depends. They do have a nice website!
