The Paradise is extremely serious about the no smoking policy. It will say in your Docs that you can be fined $250 plus kicked off the ship to find your own way home. I have read about several stories where people have been kicked off. Not sure if the stories were true because I wasn't there but it has been mentioned on some of the cruise boards.Even the confirmation papers that Carnival sends out mention the no smoking policy at least mine do.There are 2 formal nights just as on most 7 day cruises. Only Carnival ship I have been on so far is the Victory and Carnival did a great job on that ship. I am booked on the Paradise for back to back Aug 31 and Sept 7.The dress code was the same as all the other cruise lines I have been on with the exception of when we went to San Juan. We arrived there about 3:30 in the afternoon so they relaxed the dress code because most people were off the ship and in port. Of course you will see people going to the buffet on the Paradise on Formal nights. There were not as many people in the main dining rooms on formal nights on the Victory.
