Paradise Point Tram

Does anyone have any info on the skytram to Paradise Point in St. Thomas. It is listed on the shore excursions for Carnival. We will be in port from about 10am. to 8pm. Is the tram close enough to walk to it. Or is it a ship excursion that Carnival basically just sell a ticket and a bus ride to the tram. If you've been on it what is the price.

Thanks
Jim

The Paradise Point Tram is an easy walk from the cruise terminal. The tickets they sell on the ship just get you the ride on the tram. We did this on our second trip to St. Thomas, and we were disappointed. On our first trip, a driver took several of us in an open-air truck on a tour of the island for just $20 per person. It was a great tour, with a wonderful stop at Mountaintop View, and a couple of hours at a beach. I have pictures of both at my webshots page, so you can see for yourself. Regardless, we LOVE St. Thomas!

Happy cruising!

If you dock at Havensite Mall area it is only a 10 minute walk to the Tram. It is $16 roundtrip. It is less then a 10 minute tramride each way. There is a restaurant/shops/bar/bird sanctuary and great views of the harbor.. If you pull up their website there is a $1 discount on the ride and a drink discount that they are famous for. DO NOT pay any further mark-ups as this can easily be done on your own.

We will do the tram ride this fall. If you haven't seen St Thomas check out godfreytours.c We did this in Nov. It is a great tour of the island with time for shopping and the beach Cost $20.00. It was pouring the day we did it so we opted out of beaching. The younger group beached, but we opted for K Mart, yes a K Mart, by Havensight. Godfrey dropped us off and said he would pick us up, but we decided to go back to town on our own. He showed us where to get a taxi and how much to pay and not a penny more. This is by far the best tour of St Thomas and the most reasonable. Not to be missed
