I'm confused. How is that the best deal if you have to stay overnight pre cruise? I looked at rates in December and got a rate of $99 for a king on a Saturday night for an example. With the one night of parking for $15 and the rate of $99 that comes to $114. Of course there will be taxes. Breakfast is included as well as one hour of drinks, one hour of long distance and free internet. Cruise parking for 7 nights @ $14 a day is $98. The way I would look at this is the room is only costing me $16 plus tax and I get other perks too. Of course I may or may not need a cab. We are regular walkers so we will check out the distance the day before and see if it is doable with a carryon luggage. We plan to drop the checked luggage and take the car back to park. Walk or cab it and I believe there is a trolly. Even with a cab for one for $7 plus tip X's 2 for arriving and departing we still would be ahead. If you know of a better way to do this I'm interested as I know parking at the New Orleans hotels is pretty pricey. I looked and looked, crunched the numbers and this was the best I could come up with a hotel that gets as favorable reviews as the Drury.
