Does anyone have information on partially obstructed view cabins E402 - E412 on the Star Princess? From the deck plan, it shows no life boats in front of these cabins. Is there something else obstructing the view? Found a good deal on this ship and this category is as much as we can afford. Want to be able to see the sunlight (or lack thereof) and have a bit of a view.
Please let me know if anyone knows about these cabins.
Thanks,
TJ Salyer

It's because the obstructions are from things other than lifeboats. There are catwalks and all kinds of equipment associated with the winches and lifeboat davits that hang in those windows. Take a look at a picture of the Star (not the deck plan) and you'll see the space between the forward and aft boats. You still get plenty of light and bits of a view... well worth it if you need to save money.

They have life rafts inside storage boxes at this location on both sides of the ship. The view is obstructed but not as much as being in front of one of the lifeboats.
