Hey there everybody. When I have a question and no where else to turn, I know that if I post here, than someone will have the answer, or at least an idea of where to turn for the right and real answer. Well, I have one of those questions.

Where and how can I get my passport stamped from some of the ports I visit? I do not fly (1991 last time) so I crusie. I have this brand new passport that I was told I would need last year, than they said no not yet, to late, spent the money. I hate to have a passport and no stamps in it. So how do I get the stamps? Will the ship get them for me, will I need to visit a coustom office while in port, go to an embassy? I know someone else out there is asking the same thing. So if any of you have an answer or idea, please help out and suggest away.

I want to know the same thing. If you are going to be in these other countries, then there ought to be a way to get the stamps.

You are still going to need your passport to reenter the US from most countries. We have been using our passports for several years as ID, even on short cruises and some flights. Best form of ID, and never any questions. Some folks get their passports stamped even though not required. The ship has to go through customs when it enters ports of call, and they will sometimes stamp your passport if you ask. Take your passport with you, and ask at customer relations onboard if you can get your passport stamped for you.

When we came back from our Mexican Riviera cruise last December Customs actually stamped our passports! Like you, I don't think we've gotten many and we've had our passports for several years now. We came back through Long Beach.
