You are still going to need your passport to reenter the US from most countries. We have been using our passports for several years as ID, even on short cruises and some flights. Best form of ID, and never any questions. Some folks get their passports stamped even though not required. The ship has to go through customs when it enters ports of call, and they will sometimes stamp your passport if you ask. Take your passport with you, and ask at customer relations onboard if you can get your passport stamped for you.petert
