Penthouse or Sport deck?

I had originally booked a SS on Penthouse deck. I called to change my date of sailing and was offered SS on the Sport deck which had a much larger balcony. I now wonder if I should stay on the Penthouse deck. 69 sq feet is really enough balcony, and I think I would rather be a bit lower. Anyone have thoughts about which deck they would prefer?

Welcome to these boards. Most folks prefer the much larger balconies, which are nearly three times as large as those on the Penthouse deck of Century. They do have two major drawbacks, though. The first is that nearly half of the surface these larger balconies are visible to the people standing on the deck above, where the jogging track is. Second, there can be quite a bit of pool noise, early AM joggers right above you, and traffic to and from the pool. The rooms on the Penthouse deck have neither of those problems. So, if the larger balcony doesn't really appeal to you, stick with the PH deck.

That is exactly what I was trying to avoid. I appreciate your feedback. I am looking for a little bit of peace and quiet. The size of the balcony is tempting, but I prefer the Penthouse deck in this case.

For me, it's a matter of convenience. I was on sky deck with joggers above. This wasn't really an issue for me unless I wanted to nap late morning. It wasn't so bad.

Penthouse deck provides quick access to evening entertainment, (I rarely wait for an elevator) whereas Sky deck provides immediate access to outdoor activties, pool, lunch buffet, etc. When on PH deck, I could trot on down to Champage Bar, dinner, casino, etc.

I would probably stick with Sky despite the joggers, because I liked being able to walk one flight up to the pool.
