Are there any pictures of the Glory yet? I know it is early but I was wondering if there was anything regarding the construction, etc.

I have not been able to find pics of the Glory but I do have some information for you. The Glory's theme is "colors". Apparently, most rooms are a specific color. For example there is a Crimson Lounge, and Ivory Bar. Hope this info helps.

Sounds interesting. I can't wait to see pictures!! Are you going to be sailing her as well? We are going Sept. 6th. Could you keep me updated if you hear of anything else please? Thanks again for the info.

My husband and I are debating as to whether to take the Glory or the Inspiration. Have you sailed the Inspiration? We like the itinerary best on it but the Glory, being a new ship, is tempting. We sailed on it's sister ship the Pride last Sept.

Shannon, I sailed the Inspiration twice, once when it was new and then about a year or so later. At that time it as doing 7 day cruises out of San Juan. The Inspiration was built in 1996 and is registered at 70,376 tons, by no means a small ship.

The Glory is a 110,000 ton ship, a little larger than the Pride and her sister ships, the Spirit and the Legend, which are at 88,500 tons each. The Glory is sister to the Carnival Conquest.

After your sailing on the Pride, as it was a new ship, you possibly may be a little disappointed in the Inspiration. You can look in the Carnival brochure at the layout for Conquest ---the layout for the Glory is exactly the same. Then check the Inspiration and this will give you a good idea of the design and layout of the two ships.

I saw the Inspiration the other day in Tampa and she looked great, but I was only looking from the outside. Check both out and if the itinerary on one is better for you, then go with that. You will have a great time no matter which you choose, as it's hard to have a bad cruise !!

Shannon,

I know your dilemma, I have been wanting to sail on the Paradise for a while now and keep being pulled towards the newer ships. I to have sailed the Pride and was very spoiled. My first cruise was on the Fantasy and after sailing on the Pride I prefer the new ships. I still plan to sail the Paradise but if I have a chance to sail a new ship, I'm there. I am so looking forward to the Glory. When were you planning on going? I would say that if you really like the itinerary than that is what you should do. Me, if I never got off the ship I would be just fine. I am an at sea girl. I still do enjoy the ports but not the way I choose my cruises.

Cassie:

You are not weird, I love just being at sea. The ship to me is the best part of sailing. Our friends that we are going with love the ports so we plan to split up on port days. I spend a little time in port just because I have never been to several of these places and of course the shopping. I had read somewhere that spa services are less expensive on port days so if that is true I guess you know where I will be. Getting a massage while gazing out to the ocean.
