I always liked the Casa del Mar, but it has been 10 years since I stayed there.

Not sure about it's policy regarding vehicles though.

Go to www.galveston.com and click on special promotions (or something like that). It is at the top of the screen (a bar thingie). It takes you to the place that tells you which hotels / motels are offering cruise special parking and rates.

The Commodore offers free parking I think.I had a friend that stayed there.
We went to a Howard Johnsons a ways away and almost were dragged off by mosquitos(they are next to a canal where I guess they were a breeding source). Wont do that again they did not offer free parking,we paid at the Dolphin parking lot which was not too bad. They picked you up and took you to the ship.

We stay at the Best Western Beachfront. They will let you keep your car there while cruising and I think they have a shuttle. Rooms run about $50 and are clean with breakfast in the morning. We always park at the port terminal parking because it is locked and secure. There is a coupon for $10 or $5 off (depending on how long your cruise is) on galveston.com.

I believe any hotel will let you park at there hotel if you stay that night. We stayed at the beachcomber which is next door to the super 8 once and parked there for a whole week but they are the same price as the super 8 and they do the same and are a nicer motel. They both said the same thing about not being resposible for your vehicle while your gone but we have never had a problem except the seagulls useing my car for target practice. The main reason I like where I stay is we get up on cruise morning get dressed go across the parking lot eat breakfast go back to the room call a cab and get the luggage rounded up and then we are off. Our next cruise is in April on RCL and I dont know how fast they are about boarding.
