Hello all, we are planning our honeymoon this november in the mediterranean sea aboard the Voyager and we have some questions before we purchise it since we have never cruised...
firs question, Is it big difference between a room with balcony and a room with window to the sea? most of the time we cruise at night and anchore at day, only one day at sea, is it right to invert 400$ dollars on aroom with balcony althio we're not going to be onboard most of the time? (we are both students, don't have much money =) )
In the room with window is possible to open the window? i'm a bit claustrophobic...
Do you know how's the weather in europe at the begginig of november?
Last question, How much time before the cruise itself the cruise is all booked? we wanna book it now, but have difficulties with money, so we're waiting, the question is if we're not taking a chance and won't have place lets says in two, three weeks?
hope you have some answers for me =)
we're really confused and will be glad to have some answers...
thank you very much =)

Major difference. Not major size difference, nor any difference of amenities but a very major difference of experience. IMHO, the balcony is worth every extra penny it costs.

Windows and portholes do not open.

Book now if you can. You'll be making a deposit only at this time. Couldn't you just put that on your credit card ? You won't be paying that for two or three weeks anyway. Don't forget that final payments are due, usually, about seventy days in advance of sailing.

The time when the ship becomes fully booked varies drastically from ship to ship. The sooner you book the better your choice of catagory and location. You may find that as of now, some catagories of cabin are already sold out. A lower catagory standard verandah cabin can be much cheaper than an identical standard verandah cabin that is a higher catagory only because it is located in a more convenient spot. The cheaper ones sell out quickly, unless there is some negative aspect.

Sorry no idea about the weather in Europe. Lucky you to be able to experience it.

Gayle V is right. The balcony is worth the extra bucks. My sister and I sailed last November and she is claustrophobic. The balcony certainly made the difference. For some reason it seems to enlarge the cabin size, and the ability to sit out and enjoy the sea in a bit of privacy is priceless. I don't know about Europe, but I don't believe you will only be moving in the dark. There are a lot of daylight hours that the ship should be moving at sea, and that is one of the times I enjoyed the balcony the most. Have you called Celebrity regarding your deposit? I was surprised that it was quite minimal in comparison to total cost. Either way, I wish you the best and happy cruising!

We booked a balcony our first cruise and it was such a great experience we've done it every cruise since. Definitely worth the extra money for us.

especially for your honeymoon, i hope it will be a wonderful time for you two love birds. Although i have never booked a balconey cabin i have seen them and i think they are worth the extra money. sometimes you can get a good deal and the upgrade is only 100. even so its your special day. if you can do it i think you should. We always travel with the kids so we do not want to have to worry about a balconey cabin, that they can potentionaly fall off or lean over. ha ha you never know with my son. so we never did book one of these staterooms yet. i did in fact have an outside cabin and i did not think it was any better than an inside. but a balconey would be well worth the money.

Now i asm sure it depends where yu are in europe. If yu are going to greece it will be cool. You will need winter clothes in november. Since you will be crusing you do not have to worry about the hotels who will not turn the heat up. You will be living on the ship. pack clothes that will be layered so you can be comfortable both on and off the ship
